Iris’ first encounter with the recruitment industry was with Ranstad, a global recruitment agency that has specialized lines of businesses. Given her background in tax and accounting from KPMG, the firm assigned her to the Accounting Recruitment team.
At first, recruitment was fun and exciting because she was connecting with different people from all walks of life. She was passionate about her candidates’ careers and building strong relationships with them. After learning the ropes of recruitment, she felt the urge to get more exposure, so she decided to embark on a different journey and became a flight attendant.
Iris’ second encounter with recruitment came at the spark of the COVID19 outbreak when she decided it was time to spend more time on the ground. By now, she knew she enjoyed the nature of connecting with people and playing an important role in their careers but also didn’t want to be stuck with a specific practice like accounting.
This time around, Iris specifically sought a workplace where she would be encouraged to work on multiple domains; making recruitment more human, less robotic. She found herself taking off on a new career trajectory with Eagle Partners, and she’s been making placements in Tech, HR, Admin, and many other interesting roles.
